Last updated: September 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the website located at www.tanglinlawllc.com and any of its subdomains (the “Website”), which is owned and operated by Tanglin Law LLC (“Tanglin Law”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By accessing or using this Website, you (“you” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Use as they stand on the date of your access.
If you do not agree with these Terms of Use, you should not access or continue to use this Website.
1. About Us and These Terms
This Website is owned and operated by Tanglin Law LLC (UEN 202005496H), a company with limited liability registered in Singapore under the Legal Profession Act 1966 and a Singapore Law Practice regulated by the Legal Services Regulatory Authority and by the Law Society of Singapore, with its registered office at:
City House
36 Robinson Road #12-01
Singapore 068877
The content on this Website is provided for general information purposes only and does not constitute legal advice or create any solicitor-client or other professional relationship between you and Tanglin Law LLC.
Information published on this Website, including content featured under Insights, may not reflect the current state of the law or the latest developments in it, and may not apply to your particular circumstances. You should obtain specific legal advice before taking or refraining from any action based on information contained on this Website.
2. Who These Terms Apply To
These Terms of Use apply to every visitor to this Website, whether or not you are a client of Tanglin Law LLC.
If you are an existing client of Tanglin Law LLC, these Terms of Use are in addition to, and do not vary, the terms of engagement agreed for your matter. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms of Use and your terms of engagement, your terms of engagement shall prevail in relation to that matter.
By using this Website, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and that, where you access this Website on behalf of an organisation, you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms of Use.
3. No Solicitor-Client Relationship
Your use of this Website, including submitting an enquiry through our contact form, contacting us by email or WhatsApp, or communicating with us through any other channel available on this Website, does not by itself create a solicitor-client relationship between you and Tanglin Law LLC, whether by way of a retainer or an implied retainer.
A solicitor-client relationship will only arise upon formal written engagement and acceptance by Tanglin Law LLC, subject to the firm’s applicable procedures, including the completion of conflict and client due diligence checks to our satisfaction and agreement on the terms of engagement.
The only way to become a client of Tanglin Law LLC is by an agreement between you and us, entered into after we have completed those procedures.
You should not assume that Tanglin Law LLC is acting for you unless and until this has been expressly confirmed by us in writing.
Any information you send to us before an engagement has been accepted is sent at your own risk and on the basis set out in clause 4.
4. Unsolicited Information, Confidentiality and Conflicts
You should exercise caution when submitting information through this Website, including through our enquiry form, email or WhatsApp.
The submission of information or documents to Tanglin Law LLC does not, by itself, create a solicitor-client relationship or impose an obligation on the firm to act for you, and you should not assume that your enquiry will receive a response.
You should not submit confidential, privileged or highly sensitive information through the Website unless and until Tanglin Law LLC has confirmed in writing that it is able to act for you and the relevant engagement has been established.
Unless and until a solicitor-client relationship has been established, any information you send to us through this Website, or by email, WhatsApp or any other channel identified on this Website, will not be treated as confidential or privileged, may be disclosed to others, may be retained by us for the purpose of conflict checks, and our receipt of it will not preclude Tanglin Law LLC from acting, or continuing to act, for any other person in the same or any related matter, including a person whose interests are adverse to yours.
We will conduct conflict checks and such other checks as we consider appropriate or are required to do, including the client due diligence required under the Legal Profession (Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism) Rules 2015, before agreeing to act on any matter.
If your matter is or may be subject to a limitation period, filing deadline or other time bar, you remain solely responsible for protecting your position. Sending an enquiry through this Website does not stop time from running and does not constitute instructions to take any step on your behalf.
5. Accuracy of Information
While reasonable efforts are made to ensure that the information on this Website is accurate and up to date, Tanglin Law LLC makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, as to the completeness, accuracy, reliability or currency of the content.
The law and legal practice may change from time to time, and information published on this Website may therefore become outdated.
Tanglin Law LLC reserves the right to amend, modify, update or remove any content on this Website at any time without prior notice, and is under no obligation to update any content.
6. Professional and Legal Disclaimer
The materials contained on this Website, including articles, publications, Insights and other information, are provided for general informational purposes only.
They are not intended to be a substitute for specific legal advice and should not be relied upon as such.
Every legal matter depends on its particular facts and circumstances. You should seek appropriate professional legal advice before taking or refraining from any action based on information contained on this Website.
The publication of any material on this Website does not constitute an offer to provide legal services or an invitation to establish a solicitor-client relationship.
7. Scope of Practice and Jurisdiction
Tanglin Law LLC is a Singapore law practice. Save where expressly stated otherwise in relation to a particular individual, its lawyers are qualified to advise on Singapore law only. Any reference on this Website to the law of any other jurisdiction is included as general background only and does not constitute advice on that law.
This Website is intended for access by persons in Singapore. We make no representation that the content of this Website is appropriate, or available for use, in any other jurisdiction. If you access this Website from outside Singapore, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with the laws of that jurisdiction, including any rules governing the advertising or publicity of legal services.
8. Professional Regulation and Publicity
Tanglin Law LLC and its lawyers are regulated in Singapore, and their conduct is governed by the Legal Profession Act 1966 and the Legal Profession (Professional Conduct) Rules 2015.
Nothing on this Website is intended to be, or should be construed as, a claim that Tanglin Law LLC or any of its lawyers is a specialist or an expert in any area of law, or as a comparison of the quality of the services provided by Tanglin Law LLC with those provided by any other law practice.
Descriptions of experience, past matters, recognitions and outcomes are provided for general information only. Every matter turns on its own facts, and past results are not a guarantee, prediction or warranty of the outcome of any other matter.
Unless otherwise stated, lawyers described on this Website as advocates and solicitors are advocates and solicitors of the Supreme Court of Singapore.

The Insights section of this Website may display or link to content published by Tanglin Law LLC on third-party platforms, including LinkedIn.
Such content is provided for general informational purposes and may be subject to the terms, policies and availability of the relevant third-party platform.
Tanglin Law LLC does not guarantee the continued availability, accuracy or completeness of any content displayed through or linked from a third-party platform.
Any comment, message, reaction or other engagement with content published by Tanglin Law LLC on a third-party platform does not create a solicitor-client relationship, and such channels should not be used to convey confidential or matter-specific information.
10. Legal Services
Information about Tanglin Law LLC’s practice areas and legal services is provided for general informational purposes only.
The inclusion of any practice area or legal service on this Website does not constitute an offer to provide those services in any particular matter.
The availability of legal services will depend on the circumstances of each matter, including applicable professional requirements, conflicts of interest, the firm’s capacity and the terms agreed between Tanglin Law LLC and the prospective client.
11. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, all content on this Website, including text, articles, logos, trademarks, graphics, photographs, illustrations, layout, design and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Tanglin Law LLC and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

We may require you to remove any link to this Website at any time, and you must comply with such a request promptly. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms of Use are reserved.

The firm does not warrant that the Website or the server on which it is stored will be free from viruses, malware or other harmful components.
You are responsible for configuring your own information technology and computer programmes to access this Website, and for using your own virus protection software.
If an enquiry, message or document submitted by you through this Website is not received by us, or is lost, corrupted or otherwise inaccessible, whether in whole or in part and for whatever reason, you will be treated as not having submitted it and you will have no claim against us in respect of it. You should not assume that a submission has been received unless we have acknowledged it.
Tanglin Law LLC reserves the right to suspend, withdraw or restrict access to the Website or any part of it without prior notice.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tanglin Law LLC shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or other loss or damage arising from or in connection with:
- your access to or use of this Website;
- your reliance on any information contained on this Website;

- any virus, malware or other harmful component transmitted through this Website, or any unauthorised access to or alteration of your transmissions or data; or
- your use of or reliance on any third-party website or content accessed through links on this Website.
The exclusions and limitations in this clause apply to Tanglin Law LLC and, to the same extent, to each of its partners, directors, employees, consultants, agents and service providers, each of whom may enforce this clause.
To the extent that any liability of Tanglin Law LLC cannot lawfully be excluded but may be limited, its total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with your use of this Website shall not exceed S$1,000.
Nothing in these Terms of Use is intended to exclude or restrict any liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted under Singapore law, including under the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977.
18. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tanglin Law LLC and each of its partners, directors, employees, consultants and agents against all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs and expenses (including legal costs on a full indemnity basis) arising out of or in connection with your breach of these Terms of Use or your misuse of this Website.
19. No Service of Process
This Website, and the email, WhatsApp and other contact channels identified on it, may not be used to effect service of any originating process, court document, notice of arbitration or other formal legal document on Tanglin Law LLC or on any of its clients.
Tanglin Law LLC does not accept service of process by any such means, and does not hold itself out as authorised to accept service on behalf of any client unless it has expressly confirmed in writing that it is so authorised.
20. Communications and Payment Instructions
Fraudulent communications purporting to come from law firms, including requests to make payment or to change bank account details, are a known and recurring risk.
Tanglin Law LLC will never notify you of a change to its bank account details by email alone. If you receive any communication that appears to come from Tanglin Law LLC and you have any doubt as to its authenticity, or if you receive any request or instruction relating to the payment of money, you should verify it before acting on it by telephoning the firm on +65 6994 4528, using the number published on this Website and not any number contained in the communication itself.
Tanglin Law LLC accepts no liability for any loss arising from your failure to verify a communication or a payment instruction in accordance with this clause.
21. General
(a) Severability. If any provision of these Terms of Use is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. Where possible, the severed provision shall be treated as replaced by a valid and enforceable provision that achieves, so far as possible, the same result.
(b) No waiver. No failure or delay by Tanglin Law LLC in exercising any right or remedy shall operate as a waiver of that or any other right or remedy.
(c) Entire agreement. These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Tanglin Law LLC in relation to your use of this Website.
(d) Assignment. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms of Use. Tanglin Law LLC may assign or transfer its rights and obligations without your consent.
(e) Third-party rights. A person who is not a party to these Terms of Use has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 to enforce any of its terms, save that any person identified in clause 17 or clause 18 may enforce that clause. This paragraph does not affect any right or remedy of a third party that exists or is available apart from that Act.
22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms of Use, and any dispute or claim (including any non-contractual dispute or claim) arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter or formation, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore.
You and Tanglin Law LLC agree that the courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, save that Tanglin Law LLC may bring proceedings in any other jurisdiction for the protection of its intellectual property rights or to restrain any breach of clause 12.
23. Amendments
Tanglin Law LLC reserves the right to amend, modify or update these Terms of Use at any time.
Any changes will take effect when the updated Terms of Use are published on this Website. The date on which these Terms of Use were last updated is stated at the top of this page.
